Go to your mercury dealer, grab some gear case lube and some fill and vent screws with plastic orings. Fill her up until lube comes out of the vent, then let a tiny bit come out of the fill. Now you have the right amount (ie a tad under full). THe little amount you extra you let out is to allow for expansion of the lube under heat.
