Hi Folks, I originally posted this on the Proline Boats Forum - this may be a better place -

The Capacity Plate on my boat is unreadable - if anyone has a similar boat could you possibly share the information from your plate - It is powered by a 1.8L 140H.P. OMC Sea Drive - I try to keep passengers and gear to a minimum but I did add a T-Top enclosure and some additional electronics. I''m concerned with exceeding my limits and being cited for overloading. Any light you could share would be great !

Thanks in advance

By all means try it, but it won't help.

I tried the same 4 years ago when I owned my 1986- same boat as yours. They informed me that they don't retain capacity plates/info on the boats after they're built. They referred me to a nice guy (can't recall his name) at NMMA, who actually returned my call to let me know that NMMA only keeps that info for a max. of 10 years post manufacture. I never did find the info I wanted.

Your best bet will be other Pro-Line owners. Good luck!

Thanks J&L - I'm actually considering contacting the USCG Archive People, since Proline wasn't any help with this one particular issue. Great with other things though.

My neighbor has a much newer version of that boat. Same size, but likely a 2005 vintage. He has a Merc 150HP Optimax OB on it. I do not know off hand what max HP is, but it is likely 200HP. I could check if necessary, or you can look it up on NADA
