Hey guys I need your help. I'm new at working on 2-cycle Motors but with the help of YouTube and chat forms have learned a lot but now I am stumped. My 35 horsepower Mercury cuts out at about 3/4 throttle. It will either stall to an idle or completely die and then it will start back up.

https://youtu.be/SKQHgpfQfKo

You can see in the video what I'm talking about. I do not have a tach, but it's at about 12 to 15 mph. You can see in the description everything that I have replaced .

I appreciate any suggestions or comments please let me know what you think.

Fuel line, filter, hose, pickup in the tank?

Thanks Jimmbo for the suggestion. I looked at the pickup this morning and it it was clean.

Here below is the list of things i have done. ( i copied it off the video)

"My 1987 Mercury 35 horsepower outboard will cut out at about 3/4 throttle and almost die and then sometimes it does die.

I have rebuilt the fuel pump, the carburetor, (I have taken off and double checked the pump and carb rebuild twice), fuel lines ( with black auto), new fuel filter, new gas tank, put in a fuel water separator , ignition switch, New "Switch", fuel prime bulb., New spark plugs.

Compression 105 on each cylinder. Seemingly Good Spark.

I have taken the lid off the gas tank it's still did the same thing, I did bypass the fuel water separator to see if that was it and still the same thing.

I'm at a loss.

I tested the coils per LSsailer1 Video on You Tube, they tested fine.

Today i am going to bypass the AUTOBLEND and mix the fuel the regular way and see if it makes a difference. I will write back..

Any suggestions or recommendations would be appreciated."

Throw that AUTOBLEND away as far as you can.----Open low speed mixture 1/4 turn at a time and see if operation improves.

When you reinstalled the carb, did you check/adjust the Carb/Spark sync? Is the carb float setting correct?

Racerone is the low speed mixture the same as fuel/ air mix screw? I will probably just permanately take out the autoblend to be on the safe side.
