Hey Everyone-

My '87 3Cyl 50 is really smoky at idle speeds. I just did a carb rebuild, including replacing the floats. I did a link n sync as well. Smoke seems fine at anything above idle, so I'm thinking I've got the idle mixture screws are set a little too rich. Once it is warmed up, I barely have to bump the key to start the engine. Right now the idle screws are about 1 to 1.25 turns out. I just want to make sure that less than one turn is not unheard of on these engines.

Set the idle screws. 1-1 1/4 turns is still in the range to start the motor to do the adjustment. Then the screws need adjusted for the best idle. Where they end up is where they end up.
