87 4.3 mercruiser v6 need help

went to the lake this weekend boat has been running good sence i got every thing fixed, but this weekend when open up the throttle you could hear like a poping sound like the boat was sputtering. what could cause this, its not old gas all gas new.

Need a little more info.
What does "everything fixed" mean? Something wasn't fixed, or it wouldn't be popping.

Timing? water in fuel? bad carb/adjustment? filters? ......

Ayuh,... For whatever Reason,... That indicates a Lean condition....
