just bought 87 -60hp Evinrude but the warning buzzer in shifter is buzzing. What is this telling me ? looks like good water flow --seems like batt. was low. it is not oil inject

VRO or not? Could be overheating, or oil low, or not flowing. If no VRO, it's hot horn.

Re: 87--60hp Evinrude warning buzzer

If buzzer goes off immediately after cold start, There might be a problem with its related temp switch mounted to the engine. Might be shorted to ground continuously.

If buzzer goes off after only after a while of running engine, it may be more likely that your engine is not receiving enough water to cool it down. This could be from a worn water pump, or blockage somewhere in system.
