Hi all,

I found an equivolent faria part for the audible alarm system but need to know the switching temp in order to prove its application.

Does anyone know what the merc part switches at please ?

I don't know for sure, but if I were to guess I would have said between 210 and 220.... and looking at your Faria switch, I'd be looking at that one. Also remember that you have a closed cooling system (read 'pressurised')... and the boiling point of water is higher as pressure rises....

thanks Chris - gonna go for it.

Tstat opening is 160 F
Fully open at 185 F so 217 is not too far away from that 102 C.
