Can I use Car Carb cleaner in my 2 stroke????? I do a yearly De-carb but still get quite a bit of soot in there....I would be nice if I could give it a quick burst to blast that crud through and out........I'm running 50:1, will a few quick blasts make it run too lean????....<br /><br /> Thanks in advance for any info......Warren

After you decarb next time run Seafoam in each tank to stop your buildup. 50:1 is correct. If you idle or troll a lot regap your plugs to .40

Do not use regular automotive carb cleaner. It will wash the oil off the bearings and cylinder walls. There is a product called deep creep seafoam. This will do the job for you. You can also get it in liquid called seafoam to add to your gas, I do this all summer long to help with the carbon.<br />There are other products on the market for marine use but I have used seafoam and know it works.
