Hi, I'm getting just enough water in my starboard cylinders to make the engine not run correctly. Took me a few hours of working on everything to figure this out. I did not run it much at all like this, so I dont think I've done much damage to the cylinders. I sucked up some mud a couple of weeks ago and made the motor run hot. Not hot enough to trigger the overheat switch though. I got it cleaned out quickly and thoroughly (I think), but I think this was the beginning of the end. Got to take the head covers off to examine the gaskets and cylinders, hopefully its a gasket issue. Both cylinders are getting just enough water in them to make the motor run crappy. I looked a both plugs, and thats was the only way I could detect the water, very small amounts on the plugs.

My question is this, am I on the right track? Is there something other than a gasket or cracked head or ect. that could be causing this? Any and all advice is much appreciated!

A bump and another thought, being I am getting small amounts of water in both starboard cylinders, would it be more likely that my exhaust cover gasket could be leaking? It kinda sounds more logical considering both cylinders have moisture in them. As said before any and all thoughts, comments, and advice will be greatly appreciated!

Exhaust cover, head and/or cover gaskets are likely possibilities. Also cracked cylinder, but you say all stbd, so this is an unlikely choice. I would start by replacing all the gaskets, and making sure sure everything is flat ... if not, surface before reassembly.

It seems to me like someone told me that if you have water in the fuel tank it would show up on the pluge this is just a thought, you may want to clean your tank out real good before you start pulling the motor apart.

While that is true, if it were my issue all 4 cylinders would have water on the plugs, not just the 2 starboard cylinders. I did completely eliminate the fuel system by process of elimination. I guess I was just looking for confirmation on what I already suspected. I appreciate your suggestion though!
