Hi, I'm getting just enough water in my starboard cylinders to make the engine not run correctly. Took me a few hours of working on everything to figure this out. I did not run it much at all like this, so I dont think I've done much damage to the cylinders. I sucked up some mud a couple of weeks ago and made the motor run hot. Not hot enough to trigger the overheat switch though. I got it cleaned out quickly and thoroughly (I think), but I think this was the beginning of the end. Got to take the head covers off to examine the gaskets and cylinders, hopefully its a gasket issue. Both cylinders are getting just enough water in them to make the motor run crappy. I looked a both plugs, and thats was the only way I could detect the water, very small amounts on the plugs.
My question is this, am I on the right track? Is there something other than a gasket or cracked head or ect. that could be causing this? Any and all advice is much appreciated!
