1987 90hp V4, E90tlcur. Took it out of winter storage yesterday and ran it in a tank so I could diagnose fuel/oil starvation problem. Replaced bad VRO, buttoned everything up, and put boat in garage for the night. This morniing I've got four or five tablespoons of murky lower unit oil that has leaked from between prop and lower unit and down into a puddle under skeg. I assume prop shaft seals are bad.

Would like to do this repair myself but haven't tackled it before. Looks like I need to pull the bearing carrier, correct? Will I need a bearing puller for this? If I get the carrier out and replace the seals (I assume there is a kit available), do I need to do anything else to "seal" the lower unit back up? Other advice anyone can give who may have worked on this or a similar motor before would be appreciated?

Thanks in advance,

Mark
Minneapolis, MN

Mark...It's probably just 2 stroke oil that pooled in the exhaust housing and ran down the lower unit through the night, happens to me evry time I flush my motor when I get home, it's normal, nothing to worry about.
