new owner here. pulled the floor panels and found the pieces of plywood mentioned on another post here-both redone local shop 250.00 a good deal. found one fuel tank in there and the hookups for a forward tank-fill and vent line and elect wires for sender which look like factory installed in case a tank ordered. does anyone know the measurements of this tank, how much does it hold, where can i get one. the boat sits low in the sturn and i would like to balance it out some plus the range.
thanks, john of marienjohn

Tanks Size: 55 gallons
Manufacturer: http://www.rdsaluminum.com/marinetanks.html
Size: Unknown. I've never had a a reason to take mine out

Don't think it's going to do anything help your low stern problem. When I use my aux. tank I sink into the water even more.

What do you have hanging off the transom?

thanks for the reply. 175 evenrude two stroke, 8hp mariner kicker. i understand weight will increase displacement-want more range, keep bow down. will be adding trim tabs shortly-after holidays which will fix the bow up issue but the range is needed here. any idea relationship of the scupper drains to water with your tank full-mine are just out of the water.

With a full tank the water is about flush with the bottom of the scuppers. With an empty tank maybe an 1/2" difference.

Where are you running from that you need more range?

hi, run out of st marks, fl. it is 27 miles to 60 ft of water. if im going to do much trolling or moveing over our scarse broken bottom spots it is easy to run thru a batch of gas. my daughter lives in destin and a trip out from there to desoto canyon is another gas user. mayby im over cautious but i hate to be stuck out there. im also in favor of the weight to keep the bow down. i gather you dont have any trouble useing only the aft tank?

At cruise I'm getting 2.5 - 2.8 MPG so the main tank gives me a range of about 250 miles.

It's 35 miles out to the "Bone" so I can easliy make it out there and back on a 1/2 tank of gas.
