87' john. 110 water coming from lower unit

I have an 87' johnson 110 that I just replaced the lower unit on. There is a port on the back that water is pouring out of. My old lower unit didn't have that. I also have poor water pressure at the gauge which improves when I put my finger over that outlet where the water is pouring out of.

Can I use this lower unit? Do I need to plug this outlet and what do I plug it with?

Sounds like water is leaking from the pump housing or most probably the tube coupling seal.
