Can any one tell me where I can get the special socket or tool to remove what appears to be a 12pt torx bolt holding down the piston arm. I have the six pt. torx sockets, but never seen a 12pt one. Went to several tool retailers, but no luck. Thanks walt.

Assuming you're talking about the rod bolts, you'll need a 12 point 5/16" thin wall socket.

Yep, 12-pt 5/16 socket. I got mine at NAPA....

Thank you, that's the baby. Its a twelve point torx , and it has to be thin wall. I'm working on a 1987 90 Johnson. I will call Napa in my area and try to find it. Thanks again...Walt.

Thanks all, found socket I needed at Sears hardware, worked great. Turns out all I needed was a 5/16" 12pt thin wall regular socket. Who knew!
