rebuilt mine, costs aprox $150 per hole. Gaskets can be a bit pricy, like $60 for the head gasket. Can reuse metal exhaust and lower unit gaskets if in good shape. Bought parts online and got them in 2 days and much cheaper than the dealer. Did mine at home without any special tools other than a torque wrench and a large allen socket/wrench. Make sure you get a good machinist to do the overbore that knows marine engines. You may find out as I did that the other holes on that side will need repair also.

great white , how is your 150 , tell me a little about it , mine is or was awsome i have it on a 17 ft thunderbolt. and or until now i have never been out ran by a 150 of any kind . i have had to have the carbs rebuilt about every other year , but that is about it . when you rebuilt yours did you add any thing , i heard there is a kit to beef it up to a 200 , knowing it has a 200 powerhead on it already . reply kds

Mine was running great, 65mph trimed out on my 17.6 Gemini bass boat. Hear you can put 175 -200hp carbs on no prob. but not sure if other changes are needed. Think not. Bad news is my 87' fried its low oil sensor (oil inj disconnected long ago)but tech told me it would run ok with it disconnected. I replaced it anyway and I it is only running on one side at idle and will only fire other side at aprox 1/2 throttle and above! No spark at all on one side below that! Weird and driving me crazy. Any help out there? Hope not CDI cause Suzuki charges $1000 for one and very rare to find good used ones.
