87 Wellcraft 190 Classic help.

Hi , I'm new to boating and just bought this boat and have a couple questions. First ... the Engine is the Merc 165 (3.7L) .. where is the temp sensor? Next , I have trim and tilt (up dn) buttons on oposite sides of the throttle. I have no trim tabs .... right now it seems as though the trim dn lowers the outdrive and the tilt up raises it. The trim up and tilt dn don't seem to function although I do hear the pump running. Is this correct or could it have been rewired?

I have the same setup as you on my 192 Classic. I believe the tilt up/down is for raising and lowering the drive while launching/trailering. The trim switch is for use while underway. Both should function up an down. mine do.
