If engine seemed like it was flooded, change out the fuel pump diaphram.

Bulb should get hard when you initially pump it up by hand. If you check it again after you've been running for a while, it may not be hard but should get hard again after pumping by hand.

ROSCOE's suggestion about the fuel pump diaphragm is what I would do. Easy cheap fix.

Make sure that your vent is open on the tank, Next, how old is your ball and fuel line? If it has been on there a while, the check valves in the ball may be going bad.

Let us know what you find.

While your trigger timing may be at fault, the stator wont cause your symptoms.

Do a carb/timing sync by the book and then take it for a run. The problem may be that your timing is not increasing when your trottle valves are opening.

John
