can anyone tell me where the drain screw for the gear oil on an '88 bravo 1 is? either I am blind or there isn't one.

It's actually a good idea. Props need to be pulled and the shaft greased yearly (Especially in salt water). If not, they freeze on the shaft and have to be cut off. If you change your gear lube, then you HAVE to remove the prop and it's real easy to grease the splines at that point.
