88 DT 75 setting up oil injection.

Burning oil like 16 oz per 6 gal of gas. no leaks. I had carbs off cleaned and replaced. oil pump rod got bent so I replaced it with new. I know the length is off.
is there length I should be shooting for? thank you

16 oz for 6 gallons of gas is the right amount for 50 to 1 ratio.

I mix mine myself, and I put a pint (16oz) bottle in 6 gallon tanks, then put in 5+ gallons of gas.

Yes I did the math also but at a idle it smokes it never did that before... just can not find the correct setting length. I think the oil pump at idle is set for 80 -1 and a full is 50-1.

Get a manual there should be marks on the pump to set it with

I see the 3 marks on the pump arm and one on the pump. I will check it out. Thank you.

I was off on the marks. I reset the rod length and went for a test ride. no more smoke. Went out for almost 3 hours. Full throttle 25 min to clean it out and then almost 45 min trolling speed two nice fish and no smoke. Ran great and the plugs after I got back looked great. Thank you all for the help.
