I had my 88' 50 hp force running fine all day...we refueled the gas tanks in town and tried to go back out. she wouldnt start and when she did, she cut out after a minute or less. I just rebuilt the carb and choke so i know its not that. when will trailered up, we noticed a oily/gassy sheen on the water where the boat was sitting.....any ideas....again, i just had this serviced and it ran fine for a solid 4 hours before we refueled...and yes i put 2 cycle oil in my tank

was the vent open on the tank ? primer pump good and firm .. the oil u seen was unburned fuel nothing to really be alarmed about .. but i would bet money you had the vent on the tank closed
