'88 merc 135 prop power problem

hi all,<br />I have a 1988 SeaRay with the V6 135 Merc OB (SeaRay badge). Last time out, it was runing well, but suddenly lost power. Well, the engine revs fine but the propulsion of the prop kind of drops off at about 1500 rpm. When I rev the boat higher the engine revs fine, but the boat will not go above about 6 or 7 mph.<br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />Thanks for any and all help.

Sounds like the drive hub in the prop is slipping
