'88 Merc 35hp Crankshaft Broken - Compatibility?

Hello,

My '88 35 has a broken crankshaft. I recently found on Kijiji what looks like to be a '70s era 35 needing a starter. Would the powerheads or starters swap on the two?

I guess what I'm asking is what years and sizes would have compatible crankshafts or complete powerheads?
