Hello,
My boat is bogging out when I try to give it anything more than half throttle or a little less. The crazy thing is my old sea drive motor that was on my boat before did the exact same thing.
Here is what I done so far.
The motor is getting fuel from a 20 gal portable tank with a primer bulb. I change the fitting and the bulb is newer.
I removed the carbs. ran guitar string threw the jets. One jet was clogged pretty bad. I got them all nice and clean. Gaskets were in good condition so I reused them. As far as sink the linkage both butterfly's open up at the same time and move in sync.
After I cleaned the carbs it purrs like a kitten at idle and now does not stall.
Replaced all fuel lines with new, replaced fuel filter.
Replaced spark plugs.
Changed rectifier. The old one was bad. Now it charges and I get rpms.
If I hold the choke button down it will get on plane and rev to about 5000 rpm. I noticed the bulb went flat when I was running it @ 5000rpms with the choke pushed in.
What should I try and do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
