My 88 special wouldn't start at the ramp the other day.It would spit a few times then die.Used the same starting procedure as usual. Finally popped the cover and noticed fuel spraying around from the red lever and out the end of the choke solenoid.Looks like time for a solenoid rebuild...question is,is there a rebuild kit available ,and if not, which parts(from BRP website) are usually the culprit for those symptoms?

It's not a choke but a primer. The cap is usually what breaks or splits. A new cap is usually all it takes. Real simple, no big deal at all. Most dealers stock them.

Thanks Dhadley...looks to me like the fuel is leaking between the RED lever - valve unit and the end cover.Could the o-ring at the bottom of the valve be defective? What is the purpose of the valve in there anyways?
