my 88spl(91)developed a low speed miss immediately after I switched from the main to aux.tank.It started to pop and then began to run on 3 cyl and wouldn't stay running in gear. When on muffs,it'll pop, then cough out a puff of blue smoke by the prop.I'm thinking I sucked up a piece of debris into the low speed-idle circuit. Also this same motor has been experiencing excessive fuel consumption to the tune of 7+gph at trolling speed(8 knots).Any thoughts?

I can troll all day at 8 knots and she doesn't miss a lick.It only starts to miss when I back off the throttle, then it seems to load up,run really rich, and miss.

Time to pull and clean the carbs. Idle circuit in one has something in it is a likely cause. I might suggest an additive but snake oil in a two stroke engine is really asking for trouble. If you find dirt or even water in one idle circuit that fuel tank needs a thorough cleaning before any more use.
