Gday all,Its been a while.
My V6 only has rectifier and peaks at 17V at WOT.No problem with it as battery does the regulating, however im looking at new electronics that dont like over 15 -16 volts. Can anyone point me in right direction for a Rectifier/Regulator for my 1988 V6 135HP.
Thanks Paul.

Its a 16 amp system. The 20 amp regulator will work for you. The regulator just has to be of equal higher capacity than the load. I know about the aftermarket Mercury style. I don't know about those you found in Oz. It may work. It might not.

That regulator you displayed is interesting as it is high current. The only concern I have is whether it truley is a "12" volt regulator or 14 as needed? A 12 volt regulator will not satisfy your battery....
