The boat was running great when I parked it and winterized it. She's been covered for 4 years. I cleaned everyrhing up, carbs, tank, new battery etc. I tried starting last night. No go. I pulled plug wire and checked for spark, none found, I removed the two white wires, no diff. I suspect the stator but why would it go bad. For $463.00 I don't want to just buy one. Any suggestions on checking with Fluke multi meter? It would be hard to belive all 4 coil packs are bad?please help with any suggestions before I take to a repair shop.

If you know how to use a Fluke meter, all you need to buy is a Clymer Force Outboard Shop Manual. It will allow you to ohm out all of the components before spending money you didn't need to spend.

I would clean all of the engine grounds, coil grounds and connectors on the CDI's. All it takes is a little corrosion to stop you from getting spark.
