Hi, I'm new to the forum.
I have a '89 40hp Yamaha 2 stroke on a 15' Logic Marine (Triumph) center console that I bought last fall. It has an oil tank under the cover, like this one:

It appears water has gotten in the tank, and settled to the bottom. I'm going to remove the tank, empty the oil out of it... but the lines are very hard and brittle, so won't come off the barbs. I plan to just cut them off, but was wondering if I can just use regular clear fuel line to replace them? Will it hold up OK?
Thanks in advance.
