'89 48 hp spl lower unit seal replacement

Good evening everyone. I intend on installing a new water pump and lower unit seal kit on my 48 spl. I have ordered a manual for the motor but I would like to get started by dropping the lower unit while I wait for the manual. If there is a step by step procedure that I could be given until my manual shows up, I would appreciate it.

Still new to this forum, but it is by far the most helpful I have ever been a part of. Thanks for all the help!
