89 60hp evinrude lower unit compatible with 1976 lower unit?

Hi All ,
I have a question about an 89 evinrude 60hp needs lower unit. I do not know the spline on the 89. I have a lower unit I think about 1976, was used on 1977 70hp same 20in shaft length 4 spline manual shift. Works fine. Will this work with the 89 60hp 20 inch shaft engine? Thanks guys. if you have a part no. cross ref it on ishop marine.com i get all my omc part no. all you need is a model no. or part no, type it in and it gives you blown up schemetics, and part no
