I'm trying to sort out why I have an intermittent throttle loss. I can be running along and all of a sudden its like someone's pulled back on the lever, the engine idles back. I have to stop and play with the lever several times to get any response then it catches and boom... off and running ok again. I have had the engine serviced each year. Of course it happens when you aren't in diagnostic mode to rip the covers off and start checking things out while your trying to fish.
Any suggestions of where to check with the muffs on and water running in the driveway before I go out and try to get it to fault under operating on water? Oh, can I run it safely with the covers off to watch linkage movements and fuel in the clear lines?
thanks... Rob
