Hi..new here, and to the boating community...Recently bought an '89 Bayliner Capri 2.3 cuddy.... As I find there is alot of models, I cannot find any model number on mine.... Where is the common place to find a "plaque" or sticker telling me what the model is? I've located a plaque in the motor compartment showing numbers for the outboard, but nothing for the boat itself...also, since the hyd. bleeddown of the outboard is common, I'm told, instead of tying it up during transport, I'm told there is a pair of "sleeves" you can get that attach on the rams to hold it up--what are they called, and availability?? Thanks ahead of time to all who could share some info !

Re: '89 Bayliner cuddy.....

Regarding the model number, on my 85 Bayliner, it was cast into the transom on the starboard side right above the swim platform. I also found a model number that was printed on paper w/ 1/2" tall letters, and then attached to the inside of the transom with a layer of 6 oz veil glass and resin.

The i/o leak down problem I can't help you with.

To hold the engine up I believe you are referring to "trailering clips". Just go to the iBoats Parts Store and enter the search term. They are less than $30.

Welcome to iboats!

Given the 2.3L engine, I'm going to guess you have a 1952 Capri Cuddy.
