I have an 1989 suzuki DT 115, I was cruising across the lake about 40 mph when I lost power. Motor would run only 20 or so and began Idling rough. It's not a rev limit. At Idle, moter coughs/sputters and will die when put in to gear. When throtled up it will run but only have speed. Plugs are all fireing...a little oil on them but not bad. Any suggestions? ghagler

No Warnings lights. Rev, Oil and water are the only warnings I see on it.

Ruh-ro. History says a compression test will give you your answer. Probably #1 will have a VERY low reading.

Check the fuel water seperator if you havent changed it recently. I made the mistake of saying, "Honestly, how much water can get into the fuel tank?"

Edit: Oh yeah whos a Petty Officer 3rd Class now?!?
