I have twin 120's on my '73 23' Formula CC on a bracket. The boat is deep v (24' at transom), and moderately heavy (@ 5,500 rigged out).

I have about 24 hrs on the boat since buying it. A rough calculation shows I am getting about 1 mpg.

Does this sound about right for these engines running an ave of @ 4200 rpm's at 30 mph?

WOT is 5800 rpm and 40 mph, and I have calculated a 7-8% prop slip.

Thanks. I just wanted to check and be sure that I am in the right ball-park and don't have to check the carbs for leaks or something.

I'm pretty happy w/ the engines (fuel aside) in that they've got good power, and are surprisingly quiet at 4200rpm.
