So I have fixed what i thought to be all the issues in my engine. Wednesday I took it out on the lake for a test run. Engine fires right up and i idle out to the middle of the pond and try and open her up...stalls. Restart, push the throttle forward stalls. I notice a gas slick following the boat. Take a closer look and see gas dripping down the shaft from the head unit.
I had to reverse all the way back to the launch because that is the only way the boat wasnt stalling out. When i got it back to my house with with the bunny ears i put it in drive and no gas leak. I am stumped. Any thoughts?

I have cleaned the inline fuel filter, new plugs, new gas tank, new gas lines. Might it be a carb problem? please help

If you have eliminated hoses as the source of the leak, You could check the carb floats / needle and seats. If the needle doesnt seat properly it will allow fuel to continue to flow into the carb even after the bowl is full. With nowhere to go, the excess fuel will pour out of the carb.

Carb issues was what i figured, and is a little bit over my head as far as diy goes. Since this is my first summer with the boat i just dropped it off to a shop, i figure it would nice to have it professionally looked over and fixed to give me a sense of confidence when i hit the ocean. Ill keep you posted and let you know the outcome Thanks
