89 Evinrude w/ no spark

Ok i just got an 89 200 evinrude vro it has no spark what so ever the book i got is not very helpful w/ trouble shooting if anyone could steer me it a good direction i would love it ..

its a cylimer and it covers from 3hp -300hp and they really dont break anything down it sucks

get an OMC manual for your engine. Should be available on ebay.

someone told me that it was more then likley the power pack does that sound right

Could be Piney, but it could also be something else like maybe a kill switch, bad ignition switch, bad shift interupt switch. To eliminate everything forward of the engine, take the big red connector apart in the engine pan. Jump the starter solenoid and see if you got spark. If you do, it's at the front end of the boat. If not, it's on the motor.

WELL I DID THAT STILL DONT HAVE SPARK I ORDERED AND OMC MANUAL HOPFULLY THAT WILL TELL ME HOW TO OHM EVERYTHING OUT AND I CAN FIGURE OUT WHAT THE DEAL IS
