I just rebuilt my 89 Force 150. I had to rebuild the starter also. Now it is turning over and has spark. It seams that the problem is with the fuel. We can't seem to get it started. There is a quick connect on the fuel line by the squeeze pump and it is not air tight. it sucks in air when you let go and squirts a little fuel when you squeeze. Bad O ring? we are able to fill the carbs after pumping by hand for quite awhile. Cleaned out carbs and made sure floats worked properly. Any ideas? Please help, thank you!

My motor came with that piece of crap too and I cut it out and put in a solid piece of hose.If the connector is on the tank.Replace it with the OMC /Mercury style.Replace with a new hose and squeezie. It's cheap insurance.J

Re: 89 Force 150 Fuel Problem

Thank you. I did end up getting enough pressure to fill up the carbs by holding the hose a certain way while I pumped it. My motor is now running after my very first rebuild. I did find that I need a new impeller to cool the engine so I am not on the water yet :(
