Rebuilt engine, added a thermostat. While out on river for first time,I noticed that I was getting a little water/vapor spitting out of the two holes in back about 4 " below the powerhead. I had a strong stream of water out of the pee hole at all times. I thought maybe the thermostat wasnt seating tight. Is this a problem?. Checked plugs when I got home and all were looking normal. Engine ran great.

Striker,

A little spray out of the the exhaust relief ports is normal-steam out those ports is not.

If you are unsure, hold your hand on the top cylinder when the engine is warmed up. If you can touch it without burning your fingertips, you're OK.

I forgot to add the pee water outlet was relocated to the top of the block and is just lukewarm. the relief holes are spitting much warmer water and while not steam there is a definite hot vaper.just dont want to blow a rebuild.Just never saw it without the thermostat
before
