Looking to get a used Skeeter, johnson gt 150 needs cylinder and carb work. Did a similer rebuild on 1985 evinrude 85 hp any similarities?

Mechanically the same motor.---Just 2 more pistons--You are sure the 85 HP was a 1985 model ?

They didn't make an 85 HP in 1985.

The V6 engine has a different thermostat arrangement, has the combination oil/fuel pump (VRO) and has the huge 35 amp charging alternator.
