Hi All,

Just found the forums and have read quite a bit, great stuff. My 135 V6 Marathon runs fine, knock on wood, but the tach does not.

When I start it, the tach works 90% of the time, within 5 minutes it stops. Sometimes it will start while I'm running, but not often. Any suggestions?

bad/lose connection probably. trace wires back to
regulator/rectifier which is where tach power
origionates. are you having any problems charging
your battery too?
good luck,
M.Y.

Most likely a bad connection, assuming your battery is charging properly. I read somewhere that a falty tact can be an indication of loss of voltage during running... You might use a voltmeter to check the voltage at the battery, it should be at least 14+ volts while the engine is running.
