89 v135 no spark all 6 cylinders.

hey guys. the motor worked last time out 2.5 weeks ago. went today and no spark on any cylinders. is the only possibility the stator? the battery is strong and it just turns and turns. i tried alot to start it cuz i didnt have the plug wire tester with me and the terminal that the main line to the battery is bolted to got extremely hot. enough to not touch it for more than a second or two. zthat normal?? thanx for any help.

Disconnect the yellow wires to your rectifier and try it again, if that doesnt work, you will have to troubleshoot the ignition system. Also, you can try to disconnect the black/white wire (I think) that hooks to the switchbox (brain)
As that is the kill circuit I believe.

The first thing that springs to mind for me is the kill switch. If that is off the engine will still turn over on the starter but won't fire. I have one of these and the ignition is more or less two separate systems doing 3 cylinders each so for both systems to stop at the same time would indicate one of the common components has failed.
Check the ignition switch and the wiring harness and connectors between that and the motor.

I flipped the kill switch up and down a few times and checked wires and connections but it didn't help.the controls are only 4 years old. hmm guess ill try that yellow wire. Any other ideas? What would I test with a multimeter. I can't find my repair manual. Thanx again guys . Erik
