8hp Johnson with internal gas tank

A good friend of mine is selling me his boat, it has, what is labeled as a 8hp Johnson. I've been told that Johnson never made a motor that big with an internal tank. It has ports attatched for an external. Is this correct, is the motor miss labeled? Any help would be greatly appreciated

I can a little later this afternoon. I know an old man very knowledgable, that's spent years collecting and rebuilding outboard motors. He stated that he's never seen it, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exsist. He also said that anything is possible lol I'm just trying to determine if this is in fact a possibility. I will get all the info this afternoon and post a pic etc

With my limited knowledge and research, I believe he is correct. I don't believe that size ever had a internal tank. usually only the 2 and 4's.
