9.5 Evinrude water pump seal Sierra kit

I purchased the Sierra water pump kit. 18-3402 for my 69' model Evinrude 9.5 HP. modle 9922S.

It came with 2 seals. one gold and one green. The gold one fits the bottom housing plate (with sleeve bearing). I have pressed it into place. The Gold one has a slightly larger OD 1.005" and a .503" ID.

My old housing had to be chisled off but I dont have a seal like this in my old pump. My housing has a grommet for the water tube and another large rubber grommet around the drive shaft hole. The old housing doesnt appear to have sealed the shaft opening. There is a lot of "slop" between the old housing and the drive shaft.

I have ordered a new housing. Will it be bored to accept this green seal?

From 1964-1967 the bearing housing oil seal is of a different size than from 1968-1973. It appears that the Sierra aftermarket kit includes one of each but only lists the newer one in the parts list for the kit.
