Re: 9.5 evinrude

It should be hooked to a small like cable that goes back to the carb.
I'll look through my pictures and see if I can drum up one that shows it.

Re: 9.5 evinrude

Hi Bubbakat,
The earliest 9.5s had two nylon arms with a bent metal rod between them. It didn't work too well stretch over the space from the cowling all the way back to the carb, so they went to the flexible cable. The nylon arms were much like those used on other motors with knobs somewhat removed from the needles... they actuated...

- Scott

Re: 9.5 evinrude

Hi Bubbakat
I have found out by trial and error that the linkage go,s to a needle valve on the carb, but it only give you about half a turn on the valve, do you know how to setup the rich/lean mixture,? i can screw the needle all the way in and out by hand but it dos,nt seem to make a differance of the running of the motor i,d like to get it right don,nt want to burn anymore gas than i have to all ready paying to much for the stuff. thank for help
The Happy Hobo
