if you read any of my other posts, I am a new owner of a few 9.5s. I am having a problem with one. I got it running and it was getting hot. I didnt run it for more than a minute and couldnt touch the power head. I am getting a new impeller for it. My question is where is the thermostat? my manual does not show it anywhere. do you think that the impeller is the problem? there was barely a mist coming out the hole.

Yes it sounds like the impeller. The thermostat is located in a port on top of the cylinder head. Should look like a plate held on by two or three screws/bolts.

Three it is. Been wondering how your doing with the family of four. Are they looking like your goiing to be 3 for 4 or 2 or what? Let us know. If I remember right you've got gear problems with one but I've been keeping my fingers crossed for the rest. Rick.

I am going to get at least 3 running I hope. This is the first one that is overheating. there are 2 with bad mounts. and the last one I cant get spark on yet. cleaned the points, checked the continuity on the coils and condensers, and everything seems OK. I need to recheck it though.

I got it running!! I put it in a deeper trash can and it was spiting water. the motor never got too hot to hold my hand on it. I am still going to put the impeller on it for good measure. One of the others has no spark though. thats my next problem. I will start a new thread for that in a little while, I want to try a few other things.
