I have a 9.6 sea king need help it will not start. If i put gas in to the carb it will fire and die. It looks like the whole motor has been gone through it is all clean and there is not any varnish in the carb. I can squeeze the primer bulb and it doesn't seem to be priming the carb the bowl fills up but it won't get in to the motor. What year is the motor and what is some info on the motor.
Model#VWB27009A
Serial#10983
Thanks Brian

1970 made by Chrysler. There's still a restriction in the carb. It'll need more cleaning. Fuel mix is 50:1.

Re: 9.6 Sea king help

I have soaked the carb in cleaner and reassembled it and it still has the problem. could the float be bad or the needle and seat need changed. If i put it together without the float fuel primes in to the motor.
Thanks Brian

Re: 9.6 Sea king help

If the float fills and primer bulb gets firm float should be working.
You need to clean the carb you need to prove all passages and jets are clean.Blow air or carb cleaner through all passages.Be sure the float operates
be inverting the carb and blowing in the gas in connection.
