9.8 hp mercury (merc 110)

Hi, I am new to the forum nd hope to find some answers. A friend of mine gave me a Mercury 9.8 hp (merc 110)and said was a 1975 model, but can't find a serial number anywhere on it. It has the lightning ignition and red stickering. I also have a 1973 9.8 hp (merc 110) that i just bought from a friend for $50 in hopes for parts but seems to be a newer model because of the thunder ignition and has blue stickering. can anyone help me to find out what year the first motor is?

The serial Nr. is usually on a plate on the clamp bracket between the thumb screws or on the starboard side of the block. The red banded one could be from 1968 to 1971 the blue one from 1972 to 1980.

Where is the pee hole located on the 68 through 71 model ?
