9.8 hp nissan four stroke...no spark

i have a newer nissan four stroke outboard 9.8 hp...i was trolling with it and all of the sudden it just died...i check for spark and cant find any...i went to "ask" the experts for the sum of $15 and they told me to check the kill switch which i did and was not the problem...but hey they dont care they got paid...anywho id be grateful to anyone who could help me with suggestions.

If under warranty, take to dealer instead of guessing what might be the trouble, if not, check CD unit, exciter coil.

Luis is right. The Factory service manual for the NSF9.8A3, available from any dealer (including me) has a full diagnostic procedure for the ignition system. Requires a good quality Analog ohm meter.
