Anybody have, or know of someone who has one of these that didn't work properly (ie: failed to disengage after the motor starts. ) If so, what were the symptoms exhibited by the running motor under those circumstances?

Thanks, BB

Thanks for replying, muskrat.

Specifically 2005 year model, which I believe is the same as 2004-2006 and up?

If your motor is neither Johnson nor Evinrude, why are you in this forum?

Because it is the SAME motor (ie: suzuki builds the motors for johnson...all parts are interchangeable ...I go to local johnson dealer to get parts, etc)

I am looking for ANYONE with this same motor that may have experienced this problem. Is that OK with you?

When one enters a new thread on any forum, it is good form to provide information that will assist others in helping them.

In this forum, such information would be make, model number, horsepower, etc.

It is the lack of fundamental information that is confusing.

10-4, good buddy! I assumed (my mistake) that since this was the johnson & evinrude link, that my header would have been enough to clue folks in that I was inquiring about "late model" johnsons, since I didn't think evinrude made a 9.9/15. Since it is the same motor as suzukis (ie: made by suzuki) the last few years, I was just wondering if any johnson owners may have experience similar problems.

Thanks to all who responded. And I completely agree with you regarding being more specific in the topics. That seems to be lacking by many posters here, including myself.
