9.9 command thrust mercury throttle question

mercury 9.9 command thrust with pull start and no electric tilt,was wondering if i can change from the shift/grip arm throttle that it has now to a shifter throttle ,to control from captains chair or somewhere on boat ,just the throttle ,no steering wheel ,have auto pilot for that , controlling trolling speed is a pain ,have trollmaster 3 with remote and its been diffacult at times
