9.9 hp sea king , what year?

I hate to bother you guys and gals, but, I have done the forum search every way I can think of and also checked the swedish site out, but I can not find the year model of this 9.9hp sea king. I am seeing some inticators that might consider reversing the first two numbers in the serial number. For example: my serial # is 48X 23589, which would make it a 1984 model. can anyone confirm this? <br /><br />Thanks,<br />Trp251
